Help, without a login.
VocabRot has no account or online service to troubleshoot. These notes cover the most common questions about the current iPhone app.
Quick answers
- Does VocabRot need an internet connection?
- No. The lessons, illustrations, pronunciation, and mnemonic audio are included in the app. VocabRot makes no network calls.
- Where is my learning progress stored?
- Progress and review timing are stored locally on your iPhone. There is no VocabRot account, cloud sync, or export in the current release.
- Why can’t I hear the audio?
- Audio does not stream, so a connection is not required. Raise your device’s media volume, retry the pronunciation control, and reopen the app if playback remains silent.
- What happens if I delete the app?
- Deleting VocabRot removes its locally stored progress, subject to your iPhone’s normal backup and restore behavior. Because there is no account, VocabRot cannot restore progress from its own server.
- How do I start over?
- On the home screen, touch and hold “Absurd pictures, on purpose.” This resets local progress and shows onboarding again. Only use it when you intend to erase your learning history.
